Eugene Released Again?

Well Eugene made it a month in the WWE on his current run… but not by much. On July 14th I wrote the article below.

The WWE announced yesterday that Nick Dinsmore has been signed to a contract. Nick DInsmore is the artist formerly known as Eugene. Dinsmore played a simple minded character for a couple of years before being released in 2007.

Dinsmore will be used in more of a developmental role. It is unlikely he will return on a full time basis. He will likely act as a road agent for the ECW developmental brand. Don’t be surprised if he is seen in comedy roles here and there, but don’t look for him to be entering any programs on Raw or SmackDown!.

But now the WWE released the infamous “We wish him the best in his future endeavors” statement. Eugene had one TV appearance against The Miz where he lost a contract on a pole match. Eugene was dressed in a mask so he wasn’t even in as his character.

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Eugene as of August 14, 2009. We wish Eugene the best in all future endeavors

I also wish Eugene the best in his future endeavors.

The next guest GM will be Jeremy Piven.  Piven is one of the lead characters on the TV show Entourage and has appeared in a laundry list of movies including: Old School (one of my personal favorites), Smokin Ace, Cars, and the upcoming movie “The Goods”.

Jeremy Piven

Piven stated that his ties to the WWE come from being a friend of HHH.  He said that HHH is a workout buddy of his.

When asked what his relationship with Triple H was Piven said “I’m his workout partner” then Piven asked, “Why do people always laugh when I say that?”

Elijah Burke Signs with TNA

Former WWE Superstar has signed with the competition.  Elijah Burke was released by the WWE in October 2008.  He had a huge following of fans who watched the ECW brand.  The release was a shocker to most WWE fans when it occurred.

TNA has hinted that Elijah Burke will take on a new name.  Hopefully for all TNA fans (and wrestling fans) the management doesn’t screw up his character.  Elijah is one of the best young stars in the business today.

WWE has released RAW superstar Brian Kendrick.  Kendrick was currently going by the name “The Brian Kendrick”.

Kendrick started with the WWE in 2003 but only stayed a year. In 2005 he returned to the WWE to form a successful tag-team with Paul London.  His single career never really took off in the WWE after the tag run.

His last match in the WWE was this past Monday where he lost to Kofi Kingston in under 10 seconds.

Brock Lesnar Apologizes For Comments

Former WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar made himself look a tad foolish after his fight with Frank Mir on saturday night.

He had several outrageous comments after flipping the crowd a dual middle finger salute.

Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass. I told him that a year ago. I pulled it out of him and beat him over the head with it. [Now] I’m going to drink a Coors Light. That’s right a Coors. Bud Light don’t pay me nothing. I want to say Hi to my family and friends and, hell, I may even get on top of my wife tonight.

It looks like now that Lesnar was forced to come to his senses.  UFC’s Dana White stated his shock by Lesnar’s attitude and then Lesnar officially apoligized.

First and foremost I want to apologise. I acted very unprofessionally after the fight and I’ll leave it at that. I’m a sore loser, okay, and I don’t like to get beat. I believe Frank [Mir, his opponent in UFC 100] and I’s first bout, I gave that bout to him, and so there was a lot of emotion in this fight for me.

I love this company. I want to be a fighter. I have wanted to be a fighter since I was a little kid, okay? You guys want to get to know a little about me now. I have been a fighter my whole life. Wrestling was my way out. I wasn’t the smartest kid on the block. I didn’t like school, I like to get in one on one with my opponent and that’s where I handled my business. I went into the entertainment busines and there’s still a bit of that. You guys ask me all the time, is there anything I can drag over from WWE? And I guess you’ve seen a little bit tonight.

I apologize to Bud Light. I’m not biased, I drink any beer [laughter] and tonight I’m drinking Bud Light all night.

Man, I was so jacked up. I’m used to selling pay-per-view ticket, okay. I come from a business that is purely entertainment and the guy that my coach, you know… he’s the best in the business at it but I’m just trying to do my job. Dana [White, president of UFC] came back and we had our whip the dog session and I apologized.

I had nothing against Frank. The only thing I had against Frank was that he beat me, alright. We both talked a lot of crap, and in the end… I was just amped up.

Thank to http://www.inquisitr.com/29091/full-text-of-brock-lesnar-apology-with-video/ for the transcript of the apology.  I didn’t want to have to type that whole thing out.

Mr Anderson… Anderson?

For all the Mr. Kennedy fans out there.  Mr Ken Kennedy announced himself today as “The artist formerly  known as Kennedy”.  During an autograph session in Puerto Rico he informed fans that he will no longer go by the name Mr. Kennedy.  He will go by the name Mr. Anderson.

I think Ken Anderson should concentrate on his ring skills and not worry too much about name changes and making internet videos.  As I have said several times in the past, if he could polish his skills he could be a huge draw.  It was his lack of progress that got him booted from the WWE, plus his glass body.

Edge & Chris Jericho win Triple Threat Tag Team Match (New Unified Tag Team Champions)
- Edge and Y2J should create a huge amount of heel heat after winning  the belts.  The two top heels in the Smackdown brand will finally bring some credibility to the tag team division.  Look for disension in the ranks and an eventual feud between the two heels.

Rey Mysterio def. Chris Jericho (New Intercontinental Champion)
- Mysterio is always good as the big little man champ.  With a good gu carrying the Int Strap we should see some up and coming heels enter the mix.

WWE Champion Randy Orton def. Triple H (Three Stages of Hell Match)
- Randy Orton is still champ which doesn’t sit well with me.  His character is bugging me and legacy is stale.  I was hoping Triple H would win this one making a new heel chase him.

Michelle McCool def. Melina (New Women’s Champion)
-  Umm…. congrats Michelle but I would rather have not had this one on the card.

Jeff Hardy def. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (By Disqualification; Punk retains)
- I want Jeff Hardy to win the World Heavyweight Championship and carry it for awhile.  I know he is likely leaving for a break but sending him out with a push would be good for the WWE.

John Cena def. The Miz
- Worst feud in the WWE by far.  Who cares.  I would rather of had another Diva match.  That tells you something.

Commerical Free Raw plus more..

The WWE is fighting through hard times by making sure the fans are happy.  Tonights RAW is commercial free for everyone sitting on their butts at home.  The WWE took the fandemonium to another level by making the event free for everyone in attendance with a ticket stub.

Donald Trump came to address the crowd and made the block-buster announcement that everyone in the crowd would get a full refund.  According to his speech, this will cost the the WWE $250,000.

To make fans happy they are also having a pay-per-view main event match.  HHH and Randy Orton will fight in a last man standing match.  The WWE is bringing a PPV atmosphere to the weekly show.

EDIT - The match ended with a double count-out.  HHH could not stand after delivering the pedigree. What a garbage finish for an otherwise stellar match!

The WWE has released super hottie Candice Michelle.   WWE released a press release earlier stating they wish her the best in all her future endeavors.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Candice Michelle as of today, June 19, 2009. WWE wishes Candice the best in all future endeavors.

Candice has been injured often in the past couple of years.  She received a super push after appearing in Playboy but a bad fall ended her run.  She was making huge progress before the injury.  If she continues her wrestling career, look for her in TNA very soon.
