800th Raw Notes

The 800th Raw started with a vignette outlining how Raw is the longest running episodic series in TV history.   Congrats WWE!

The Hardy’s fought MVP and The Brian Kendrick in a good but nothing match.

In the IC Title (Winner get a title shot) battle royal the WWE uncreative team booked the same ending as every other battle royal in the past 5 years, Regal hid on the outside of the ring until everyone was eliminated.  He then threw the last guy over the ropes.  Come on guys, everyone knew that was going to happen.

Stephanie McMahon showed up and is still stunning.  She looks great!

Mike Adamle resigned as the RAW GM!  Thank god!  Let’s hope WWE “creative” makes a good choice for the next GM.

Is Batista actually a robot?  Did he take speaking lessons from Randy Orton?

Watching all the vignettes I just can’t help think that wrestling will never be the same.  The WWE has had so many great moments that the current PG13 version could never compare to.  The WWE kind of shot itself in the foot with these vignettes because it makes viewers realize how bad today’s shows are getting. 

DX was funny as usual.  I laughed hard for the first time in a while during Raw.  The shot about Miz and Morrison one day should be able to live like all married couples was gold! 

The Divas segment was a huge waste of time.  I hope everyone got a snack or used the can during this “match” so your time wasn’t wasted.

 JBL was squashed by the Undertaker.  I guess JBL’s run is over.

The biggest waste of time in the 3 hours was the dancing in the ring by all the legends and some jobbers.  Did they seriously make us watch that so Ron Simmons could say “damn!”?

Khali turned face by helping Rey Mysterio.  Will this last beyond this week?
