Orton Wins Rumble & Rumble Results

Randy Orton won last night’s Royal Rumble PPV.  The win give Orton the opportunity to wrestle for the WWE title at Wrestlemania in February.  The only question is whether Vince Mcmahon will stop him due to the concussion he received from Randy Orton last week.  The WWE better not drop the ball on this angle!

WWE developmental talent Hade Vansen has been released by the company.  He was the person in those creepy videos a few weeks back designed to start a feud with the Undertaker.  His storyline was cut after the promos and apparently his Smackdown debut is not going to happen.

WWE Should Watch Their Show

The WWE needs to watch their own show.  If they watched the Stone Cold Steve Austin vignette on Raw, they would know exactly why they are falling rapidly.  They would know why they are losing record fans and business is bad.

Sci-Fi has released it’s TV schedule for January of 2009 and ECW is on the schedule for  Tuesdays in January. This could means that the network has extended or plans to extend it’s contract with WWE.  The  contract was to expire in December 2008.

The WWE has released over 60 employees in an effort to cut expenses in these hard economic times.  Many were on air talent that I personally have enjoyed watching for a long time.

Batista Injury Update

Dave Batista has updated his website.  He states that he has about six weeks before he can start rehabbing his leg following his hamstring repair surgery.
The initial diagnosis for the serious leg injury was at least 6 month minimum until he could return to the ring.
